Alessi — Parmenide AARU01 I | Alessi grater with A container

There is something surprisingly poetic about an everyday gesture like grating cheese when the tool in your hand has been designed with such care. Parmenide - code AARU01 I in the Alessi family - is a cheese grater with a container that combines ice-colored thermoplastic resin and polished steel in a compact, balanced form. Its compact dimensions, 15.30 × 7.50 × 6.70 cm, make it precise and easy to handle, allowing it to sit on a set table with the same ease with which it rests in the kitchen drawer. The project was created by Alejandro Ruiz for the Alessi Style Center as part of the "A di Alessi" collection - the line that has explored accessible design for years without sacrificing the brand's formal identity. Ruiz, a designer with a refined background and a pop sensibility, approaches small everyday objects as though they were miniature works of architecture: every curve is intentional, and every color choice has its own narrative logic. The ice white dialogues with the polished metal, creating a restrained, almost Nordic contrast that fits easily into both contemporary kitchens and more classic table settings. We chose it for Stilmobili because we believe design should not stop at the threshold of the living room. Parmenide is the right gift for those who love to entertain thoughtfully, for those who consider the kitchen an extension of their home aesthetic, and for those who do not want to separate usefulness from beauty, even in the simplest gestures. It is designed for customers who know Alessi not merely as a brand, but as a cultural attitude. Project notes: materials in thermoplastic resin and polished stainless steel. Net weight 162 g.
