Alessi — Oval Fruit Bowl | Chapin Design Basket

Alessi Oval Fruit Bowl — The Geometry of Everyday Life

There is a particular quietness in objects that do not seek to impress. The fruit bowl designed by Pierre Chapin for Alessi occupies the table discreetly, yet it catches the eye: its oval profile and gallery-style structure in polished steel recall trays from the eighteenth-century tradition, reinterpreted with a distinctly contemporary formal rigor. Place some fruit, bread, or a few seasonal citrus fruits in it - little is needed for the kitchen counter to become a composition.

Why we chose it for you

Alessi was founded in 1921 on the shores of Lake Orta as an artisan workshop and, over time, established itself as one of the most authoritative studios in the field of applied arts, capable of transforming everyday objects into pieces of material culture. This fruit bowl perfectly embodies that philosophy: simple, linear forms that carry with them a pre-industrial memory, without nostalgia or decorative excess. An object designed by Pierre Chapin that feels equally at home in a modern kitchen or a classically styled living room.

Ideal for

A refined gift for those who love quality objects - to bring to a first home, a wedding, or someone who knows how to recognize the difference between an accessory and a design piece. In everyday life, it finds its place at the center of the table, on the kitchen counter, or as a decorative element in the living room, capable of holding seasonal fruit or simply standing there with quiet elegance.
