Alessi — Pick-Up JW02 B | Black chromed zamak multipurpose table

There is something unexpectedly eloquent about Alessi's Pick-Up: a table that does not merely stand still in a corner, but presents itself as an active presence in the space. The chromed zamak structure - a refined alloy with a mirrored surface and sculptural quality - engages with the deep-black thermoplastic resin, creating an object that belongs as much to the vocabulary of industrial design as to that of refined domestic objects. The bottle holder integrated into the base is not an accessory, but the conceptual heart of the piece: a surface that also knows how to accommodate, transforming serving into an architectural gesture. Jakob Wagner - a Danish designer with rigorous training, educated between Copenhagen and London's Royal College of Art - has built his research around the relationship between function and formal reduction. His collaboration with Alessi has produced objects capable of synthesizing Italian manufacturing tradition with a Nordic sensitivity for essentials. Pick-Up embodies this balance: nothing is superfluous, yet every detail carries visual and tactile weight. At Stilmobili, we chose Pick-Up because it meets a need that contemporary design often overlooks: that of a side table with real personality. It is ideal for those furnishing a living room where details matter, for a carefully styled study, or as a striking piece next to a designer armchair. It is also perfect as a gift for a home-furnishing enthusiast who will not settle for the ordinary. Project notes: diameter 43 cm, height 49 cm. Structure in chromed zamak with black thermoplastic resin elements. Net weight 9.5 kg. Alessi production, permanent collection.
