Alessi — PlateBowlCup AJM28/77 | Porcelain coffee saucer

There is a disarming purity in Jasper Morrison's AJM28/77 saucer for Alessi. Porcelain white is never simply white: it is silence, the pause between one word and the next, the form reduced to its most honest essence. The twelve-centimeter diameter accommodates the cup with the precision of a considered gesture, and the smooth surface reflects light with an almost mineral quality, without ostentation. Jasper Morrison is one of the clearest thinkers in contemporary design, the father of what he himself called "Super Normal" - an aesthetic manifesto that does not seek originality at all costs, but works on the quiet perfection of everyday objects. The PlateBowlCup collection stems from this philosophy: taking the archetypes of the table - the plate, the bowl, the cup - and returning them to the world in their truest form. Designed for Alessi as part of Alessi's A line, this collection represents a dialogue between Italian manufacturing tradition and Morrison's Northern European sensibility. At Stilmobili, we chose PlateBowlCup because we believe that the most difficult design is not the one that astonishes, but the one that lasts. This saucer is for those who set the table with intention, for those who know that breakfast can be an act of self-care. It is for those who do not need decoration to recognize quality. Design notes: white porcelain, 12 cm diameter, net weight 135 g. Part of Alessi's A collection, available to pair with the other elements of the PlateBowlCup family for a rigorously cohesive table setting.
