Alessi — Pleats JK02/23 JK02/23 GD | Round gold-colored steel tray

There is something hypnotic about the surface of Pleats: its geometric, radial, precise folds radiate from the center like the waves of a sound just heard, or like the drapery of a fabric captured in a moment of movement. In 18/10 stainless steel with a gold PVD coating, the tray captures the light and returns it multiplied, transforming every corner of the room into a warm, precious reflection. It is not simply a container: it is a sculptural presence that inhabits the table with discretion and character. Jin Kuramoto, one of the most refined Japanese designers of his generation, brings to this project his ability to draw emotion from pure geometry. His approach to form is never decorative in the superficial sense of the term: every fold of Pleats is function and rhythm at once, a visual order that recalls the Japanese manufacturing tradition while fully engaging with the contemporary vocabulary of Italian design. Created for the main Alessi collection, Pleats joins the long history of the design factory in exploring the boundaries between an object for use and a work of applied art. We chose it for Stilmobili because it meets a precise need: that of those who do not want to choose between beauty and function. Pleats is ideal as a centerpiece capable of holding fruit, jewelry, or simply air - its presence is enough in itself. It is intended for those who furnish with intention, those looking for an object to give as a gift with the certainty that it will last over time, in use and in the eye of the beholder. Project notes: diameter 23 cm, height 1.5 cm. 18/10 stainless steel with a gold PVD finish. Weight 500 g. Alessi autumn/winter collection.
