Alessi — Plissé MDL06/1 W | White resin electric kettle

There is something deeply familiar about the Plissé, as if it had always had a reserved place on the kitchen worktop. Its form is not simply a container for water: it is a domestic sculpture. The pleated surface - from which it takes its name - evokes draped fabric, sartorial rigour translated into white thermoplastic resin. A rich, tactile white that does not seek to hide but to assert itself discreetly within the everyday landscape of the home. The design bears the signature of Michele De Lucchi, one of the most significant architects and designers in the contemporary Italian scene. Already a leading figure in the Memphis movement in the 1980s, De Lucchi has refined over time a language marked by apparent simplicity and conceptual depth. With the Plissé, he designs an object that belongs to Alessi's great tradition of transforming the appliance into a furnishing element, a considered presence. The collaboration with the "Factory of Dreams" in Crusinallo results here in a piece capable of bringing function and narrative together. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it embodies exactly what we seek: objects that are not limited to doing, but also to being. It is the ideal kettle for those who live in spaces where the kitchen is the living room, where the worktop is also a stage set. For those who love white as a conscious aesthetic choice, not as an absence of colour but as an affirmation of style. Project notes: 1-litre capacity, 2400W power, European plug. Compact dimensions - 21 × 16 × 20 cm - give it a presence that is both generous and measured.
