Alessi — Plissé MDL06 W | White resin electric kettle

There is something deeply textile about the Plissé: the pleated surface running across the body of the kettle evokes a worked fabric, a rigid and precise origami that transforms the everyday act of bringing water to a boil into a small aesthetic ritual. Made of white thermoplastic resin, the Plissé brings a sculptural yet discreet presence to the countertop, able to interact with natural light through the measured rhythm of its vertical reliefs. The design bears the signature of Michele De Lucchi, a central figure in contemporary Italian design, one of the leading members of the Memphis Group and for decades a creative consultant to major industrial companies. With the Plissé, De Lucchi brings his ongoing exploration of the archetypal form into the kitchen: the kettle is not simply a tool, but an object with its own identity, almost a domestic character. The pleated texture is not ornament for its own sake, but a system that improves grip, reduces fingerprints, and lends visual structure to the entire silhouette. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it represents exactly what we believe in: design that does not separate function from beauty, but fuses them into something inevitable. It is the ideal kettle for those who have already considered every detail of their kitchen and do not intend to let an appliance disrupt its visual coherence. Perfect on white marble, natural wood, or matte lacquered countertops. Project notes: 2400W power, 1.7-liter capacity, dimensions 21 × 16 × 29 cm. Available with a British plug. Part of the Alessi permanent collection, autumn/winter lineup.
