Alessi — Plissé MDL07B MDL07B/USA | Black De Lucchi electric citrus juicer

There is something deeply ritualistic about the act of squeezing a citrus fruit in the morning. Plissé transforms it into a moment of small domestic beauty: its compact, vertical silhouette, covered in glossy black thermoplastic resin, evokes the regular folds of a pleated fabric — hence the name — with a formal precision that belongs more to sculpture than to a household appliance. The rotating cone works silently under the pressure of the fruit, and the form closes in on itself with the discreet elegance of something that has nothing to prove. Plissé was created by Michele De Lucchi, a pivotal figure in contemporary Italian design, who was already a leading member of the Memphis movement in the 1980s and later became the designer of architecture and objects for the sector's leading brands. His work with Alessi produces a restrained and mature result here: no concessions to decoration for its own sake, but a geometry that is, in itself, sufficient ornament. The design fits into the Alessi collection with the consistency of someone who understands the difference between form and formalism. At Stilmobili, we chose Plissé because it perfectly embodies what we look for when we talk about quality kitchen objects: not merely tools, but presences. It is designed for those who want even the breakfast nook to have its own visual dignity, for those who do not separate good taste from everyday use. The black version — with a US plug — naturally suits contemporary kitchens, open-plan kitchens, and settings where black detailing is the common thread of the interior design. Project notes: 85W of power, diameter 18.5 cm, height 28 cm. Black thermoplastic resin. Suitable for regular household use with medium and large-sized fruit.
