Alessi — Plissé MDL09 G | Michele De Lucchi designer blender

There is something almost architectural about the Plissé blender designed by Michele De Lucchi for Alessi: its ribbed surface - reminiscent, as the name suggests, of pleated fabric - transforms an everyday object into a countertop sculpture. The gray thermoplastic resin conveys a quiet, contemporary materiality, capable of interacting with any kitchen without ever submitting to it. The graduated PCTG jug ensures transparency and durability, while the vertical profile - 42.5 cm of visual presence - gives the Plissé a dignity that few appliances know how to achieve. Michele De Lucchi is one of the great storytellers of Italian design: among the founders of Memphis in the 1980s, he later became a leading figure in an incessant formal exploration spanning architecture, industrial design, and installation. With the Plissé - developed for the Alessi collection - De Lucchi brings his customary linguistic coherence to even the most domestic object, demonstrating that attention to detail knows no scale. The pleated texture is not ornament: it is structure, identity, and narrative. We chose the Plissé because it embodies exactly what we seek for our clients' kitchens: the ability to make the routine extraordinary. It is the ideal gift for those who love to cook with aesthetic awareness, for those who accept no compromises between function and form, and for those who want every object on their island to have a precise reason for being there - beautiful and useful, without distinction between the two.
