Alessi — Plissé MDL09 MDL09 B/CH | Michele De Lucchi designer blender

There is something surprisingly familiar about Plissé's silhouette: a form that recalls the soft folds of fabric, the measured verticality of an object that knows it belongs in the kitchen without wanting to disappear into it. Made of black thermoplastic resin with a graduated PCTG jug - a transparent, durable material with a crystalline appearance - the blender conveys elegant solidity. The 700 watts of power are concealed behind a geometry that speaks first and foremost the language of design. Michele De Lucchi, one of the undisputed masters of contemporary Italian design, designed this appliance with the same formal attention he has devoted to architecture, lamps, and furnishings for decades. With Plissé, De Lucchi brings his ability to view everyday objects as opportunities for material culture to small kitchen appliances: every line is a choice, every proportion a reflection on use. The design was born within the Alessi collection, where the boundary between functional object and collector's piece is deliberately porous. We chose it for those who consider the kitchen a space for thought as well as practicality, for those who refuse to accept that a blender should be anonymous or hidden away. Plissé is ideal in a kitchen with a contemporary character, where the countertop is also a display surface. It is an object meant to be left on view. Project notes: height 42.5 cm, base 23.5 × 18.5 cm, capacity 150 cl. Plug with Swiss adapter included. Available in the black version with a transparent graduated jug.
