Alessi — Plissé MDL09B MDL09B/USA | Michele De Lucchi designer blender

There is something deeply Mediterranean about the Plissé, a blender that translates the rigor of textile pleating into a domestic form. The ribbed surface of the black thermoplastic resin base is not merely an aesthetic gesture: it is a visual language that engages with light, creating depth and movement in a stationary object. The graduated PCTG jug - a resistant, transparent, surgically precise material - rises above it with the composure of a laboratory cylinder. Seven hundred watts of power that do not announce themselves or shout. They are simply there, ready. Michele De Lucchi designed the Plissé with the same intellectual consistency that has marked decades of his work - from architecture to the smallest everyday objects. De Lucchi, one of the leading figures of New Italian Design, has always worked on the subtle boundary between function and narrative. The Plissé was created as part of the Alessi program, where the appliance is reimagined not as a neutral tool but as a conscious presence on the worktop. The pleating in the name is a formal tribute: the texture covering the body of the appliance directly recalls the orderly folds of fabric, transferred to technical plastic with sartorial precision. At Stilmobili, we chose it for those who consider the kitchen a space for thought as well as practical activity. It is the right blender for anyone who buys an appliance as they would buy a designer object - with attention to detail, awareness of the design gesture, and the desire for everything on their countertop to have something to say. Project notes: dimensions 23.5 × 18.5 × 42.5 cm, capacity 1.5 liters, 700W motor, USA plug. American version of an object designed for the world.
