Alessi — Plissé MDL10 MDL10 W/UK | Michele De Lucchi immersion blender

There is something unexpectedly sculptural about the Plissé. Its pleated surface — from which it takes its name — is not simply an aesthetic detail, but a texture that interacts with light, transforming a kitchen appliance into an object worthy of a design shelf. The absolute white of the thermoplastic resin conveys a formal purity rarely found among kitchen shelves: nothing reveals its function; everything evokes its form. Michele De Lucchi, one of the leading figures in contemporary Italian design — founder of AMDL Circle and formerly a key figure in Memphis in the 1980s — designed this immersion blender with the same attention he devotes to architectural spaces and cultural installations. The project was developed as part of his collaboration with Alessi, with the aim of redesigning kitchen appliances as designer objects, freeing them from the logic of visual utilitarianism. The pleated motif, almost a tribute to Italian sartorial fashion, becomes an immediately recognizable stylistic signature. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it perfectly represents that fine line between everyday use and lasting beauty that guides our selection. It is the right piece for those who refuse to accept that the kitchen should be a space removed from good taste, and for those who seek aesthetic consistency even in service objects. With its 500W power and graduated PCTG beaker, it makes no compromises in terms of performance either. Project notes: height 34 cm, diameter 7 cm. White thermoplastic resin body, graduated PCTG beaker. Power: 500W. Version with UK plug. End-of-line item — limited availability.
