Alessi — Plissé MDL13 B | Black De Lucchi induction milk frother

There is something almost sartorial about the way the Plissé catches the light. The black thermoplastic resin surface ripples like a crafted fabric, recalling in its very name the pleating technique associated with fashion and haute couture. It is an object that sits on the kitchen counter and does not ask to be hidden - on the contrary, it asserts presence, composition, and character. The included 18/10 stainless steel jug completes the silhouette with a contrast of materials that is already, in itself, an aesthetic statement. Michele De Lucchi designed this multifunctional milk frother as one would design a work of architecture: considering the relationship between enclosure and function, between perceived form and everyday gesture. De Lucchi - one of the leading figures in Italian radical design, founder of AMDL CIRCLE, and creator of works for Olivetti, Deutsche Bank, and Enel - brings the same care to this appliance that he applies to spaces and infrastructure. The Plissé is not a decorative whim: it is an object designed to endure in the eye as well as in use, with 600 W of power and induction technology that ensures speed and control when preparing cappuccinos, frothed milk, and hot beverages. At Stilmobili, we chose it because it precisely embodies what we seek in every piece in our selection: the point where usefulness stops justifying itself and becomes material culture. It is ideal for those who furnish the kitchen with the same attention given to the living room, for those who do not separate design from everyday life.
