Alessi — Plissé MDL15 W | White Michele De Lucchi toaster

There is something deeply homely and yet surprising about Plissé: its pleated surface - reminiscent of the pleated fabric from which it takes its name - transforms an everyday appliance into an object to contemplate. Made of white thermoplastic resin, the long, two-slot toaster brings an almost tailored texture to the kitchen, one that captures the light and returns it in subtle plays of shadow. The 18/10 stainless steel brioche rack completes the design with technical rigour, without betraying the formal elegance of the whole. Plissé was born from the pencil of Michele De Lucchi, an architect and designer from Ferrara who is among the most influential figures on the Italian and international scene. Founder of AMDL CIRCLE, De Lucchi has spanned decades of design - from radical Memphis in the 1980s to collaborations with major European industries - always bringing with him a profound reflection on the relationship between form, material and everyday life. With Alessi, he created a family of small appliances that reinterpret the breakfast ritual as an aesthetic gesture before it is a functional one. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it embodies exactly the tension that fascinates us: the fine line between a functional object and a collector's item. It is designed for those who accept no compromises, even on the kitchen counter, and who consider breakfast a moment worthy of attention and beauty. Perfect in a contemporary kitchen with neutral tones, it asserts itself as a quiet, refined presence. Project notes: dimensions 46.5 × 18.5 × 25 cm, power 1700W, European plug. The matt white resin is also available in other colours from the Plissé range, for those who wish to create a consistent colour scheme among Alessi appliances in the kitchen.
