Alessi — Plissé MDL15B MDL15B/USA | De Lucchi designer toaster, black

There is something deeply theatrical about Michele De Lucchi's Plissé: the pleated surface that gives the object its name evokes the drape of a tailored fabric, transforming one of the kitchen's most everyday appliances into a small countertop sculpture. Made of black thermoplastic resin with 18/10 stainless steel finishes, the long, double-slot toaster combines formal rigor and domestic warmth with a rare coherence in the field of design applied to everyday objects. The integrated brioche warming rack - a detail that reveals an almost artisanal care for the breakfast ritual - completes an object designed for those who never separate beauty from utility. Michele De Lucchi is one of the undisputed protagonists of contemporary Italian design: from his years with Memphis in the 1980s to his major architectural and industrial projects, his work has always pursued a humanistic quality of form. With Plissé — a project born from the long and fruitful collaboration between De Lucchi and the Alessi family — this same perspective is brought to an object belonging to the most intimate grammar of the home, restoring its dignity and presence. At Stilmobili, we chose Plissé because it embodies exactly what we look for: objects capable of transforming routine into an aesthetic experience. It is designed for those who furnish the kitchen with the same attention they devote to the living room, for those who consider the worktop a space for design. The version with a USA plug is also ideal for anyone who wants to bring Italian design across the ocean without compromise. Project notes: dimensions 46.5 × 18.5 × 25 cm, power 1560W, net weight 3.2 kg. USA plug. Stainless steel 18/10 and thermoplastic resin brioche warming rack included.
