The project bears the signature of Michele De Lucchi, one of the most influential Italian architects and designers of the second half of the 20th century, a central figure in the Memphis movement and later founder of AMDL CIRCLE. With Alessi, De Lucchi creates a dialogue through objects that seem to have emerged from an architecture studio even before a production line: the Plissé is a perfect example, with its soft geometry and surface texture that evokes both industrial design and the textile craftsmanship of the Italian tradition.
