Alessi — Plissé MDL21 MDL21 DAZ | Blue De Lucchi electric kettle

There is something deeply reassuring about Plissé: the ridged surface running vertically along the thermoplastic resin body, the intense blue that transforms an everyday gesture - filling it with water, waiting for it to boil - into a moment of visual pleasure. The shape is tall, almost slender, with a silhouette reminiscent of certain 20th-century artisanal ceramics reinterpreted through the lens of industrial design. The integrated temperature control adds precision without taking away the poetry: because even water for tea deserves attention. Plissé was created by Michele De Lucchi, a key figure in contemporary Italian design, co-founder of the Memphis movement in the 1980s and later a leading voice in the tireless exploration of the architecture of everyday objects. With Alessi, De Lucchi creates a dialogue of essential volumes and tactile textures: the pleating that gives the product its name is not decorative ornament, but a formal language, a rhythm recognized by the hand even before the eye. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it represents exactly what we believe a quality appliance should be: not a neutral tool to hide away, but a characterful object to display. It is ideal for those who furnish the kitchen with the same care given to the living room, for those who see the breakfast counter as a small domestic stage, and for those who recognize in designer pieces an investment in meaning as well as aesthetics. Project notes: 1.7-liter capacity, 1850–2200W power with a European plug, dimensions 22 × 18 × 32 cm. Available in blue - a color choice that brings light and character to the kitchen without ever shouting.
