Alessi — Plissé MDL21 W | White De Lucchi electric kettle

There is something deeply domestic yet surprising about the Plissé: a form that evokes water even before containing it. The pleated surface - a direct reference to the tailoring technique that gives the collection its name - is not mere ornament, but a structure that captures the light and transforms the everyday act of preparing morning tea or coffee into a moment of small, mindful beauty. Made of high-quality white thermoplastic resin, the kettle has a sculptural presence on the countertop, almost like a contemporary still life. Michele De Lucchi, one of the most influential architects and designers on the Italian and international scene, created the Plissé with the same poetic sensitivity that has characterized decades of collaboration with the world's leading design brands. The collection was born from the meeting of Alessi's industrial vocation and De Lucchi's ability to bring human warmth to mass-produced objects - a rare balance that transforms function into a story. The integrated temperature control elevates the piece beyond the category of a simple kettle, making it a precise tool for those who approach infusion with the same care reserved for haute cuisine. At Stilmobili, we chose the Plissé because it embodies exactly what we look for: objects capable of fitting into rigorously designed kitchens without sacrificing a distinctive personality. It is the ideal gift for those who love thoughtful design, unexpected details, and quality that needs no declaration. Project notes: capacity 1.7 liters, power 1850–2200 W, European plug.
