Alessi — Pots&Pans AJM307 | 18/10 stainless steel steam basket Morrison

There is an almost ascetic purity to the steamer basket designed by Jasper Morrison for Alessi: a cylindrical form in polished 18/10 stainless steel, with a geometric perfection that seeks no ornament and needs none. The reflective surface discreetly mirrors the kitchen light, while the perforated structure - designed to let steam pass through with maximum efficiency - transforms a functional accessory into a small object of industrial contemplation. Twenty-five centimeters in external diameter, ten in height: proportions designed to fit the collection’s pots and work in perfect harmony with them. Jasper Morrison is one of the undisputed masters of contemporary design, known for his “super normal” philosophy, which finds beauty in the essential and in everyday gestures. His collaboration with Alessi within the Pots&Pans collection - part of the major A di Alessi publishing project - produced a family of cookware that redefines the concept of cultured cooking: not ostentatious luxury, but quality experienced every day. The project arose from deep reflection on how kitchen objects can be both extraordinarily efficient and visually quiet. At Stilmobili, we chose this steamer basket because it consistently embodies the values that guide our selection: formal rigor that does not exclude warmth, the durability of high-quality 18/10 steel, and the ability of an object to become a silent companion to a mindful kitchen. It is designed for those who do not separate care for the home from care in cooking, and for those who consider mealtime an act of culture as well as nourishment. Project notes: polished 18/10 stainless steel, 24 cm diameter, dimensions 25 × 24 × 10 cm, weight 1.370 kg. Compatible with the Alessi Pots&Pans collection. Seasonality: spring/summer.
