Alessi — PP01 3/USA | "I Love Animals" Cillioptical lamp

There is something tender and irreverent at once in the encounter between light and textile material that Pier Paolo Pitacco orchestrated in Cillioptical. The lamp appears as an unusual object in the world of indoor lighting: the steel structure almost completely disappears beneath a decorated elastic fabric covering, which softens the geometry, captures the light, and returns it in a diffuse, almost organic form. Its dimensions - 40 cm wide, 23 cm deep, and 18 cm high - make it a sculptural yet discreet presence, able to inhabit a corner without imposing itself. Cillioptical belongs to the "I Love Animals" collection, designed by Pier Paolo Pitacco for Alessi as part of the Palinsesto autumn/winter program. Pitacco is a Venetian designer known for his ability to bring a narrative and humorous sensibility to household objects without ever sacrificing formal quality. In this lamp, the language of animals - evoked in the collection's name - becomes a pretext for exploring unexpected textures, patterns, and surfaces, translating a gentle and surprising poetics into light. At Stilmobili, we chose Cillioptical because it perfectly represents what we love about contemporary Italian design: the ability to make the everyday extraordinary. It is the right lamp for anyone who wants an object with character in an entrance hall, on a generously sized bedside table, or in a reading nook, and is looking for something that tells a story instead of merely providing light. Project notes: 1W LED technology at 12V, for minimal energy consumption and a warm, intimate light. The elastic fabric cover can be replaced thanks to the included white replacement cover, a detail that extends its life cycle and allows the color scheme of the setting to be changed. Alessi production, end of series.
