Alessi — Pulcina MDL02/6 B | Aluminum espresso coffee maker, 6 cups

There is something alive about the Pulcina. Its profile - rounded, with a short spout slightly raised like that of a newly awakened little bird - resembles no other coffee maker. The cast aluminum gives it a solid, reassuring weight in the hands, while the black polyamide handle and knob protect against heat and provide a sharp, almost graphic color contrast. On the home stove, it immediately becomes an object with character. Michele De Lucchi designed the Pulcina with an almost obsessive attention to the ritual of Italian coffee. The distinctive patented spout was designed to retain the first streams of coffee inside the upper reservoir - the more watery and less aromatic ones - and release only the densest and most concentrated part of the extraction into the cup. A technical detail that nevertheless springs from a poetic reflection: how can you make something better that millions of people already do every morning without thinking about it? At Stilmobili, we chose the Pulcina because it captures what we love most about Italian design: the ability to transform an everyday gesture into a mindful experience. It is the ideal gift for those who love coffee with precision, for those who furnish the kitchen with the same care they give the living room, and for those who recognize form as a tool for thought before it is a matter of style.
