Alessi — Rundes Modell JH01/1 | Hoffmann dinner spoon

There is a geometry of perfection that never grows old. The Rundes Modell table spoon demonstrates it with the composure of someone who has nothing to prove: 18/10 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish, a profile studied down to the smallest detail, and a handle that settles into the palm with disarming naturalness. Every centimeter of its 21.5 cm tells the difference between a functional object and an instrument of material culture. Josef Hoffmann, founder of the Wiener Werkstätte in 1903 and a pivotal figure in Viennese Modernism, held a radical vision: art should inhabit every everyday gesture, even the most elementary act of bringing a spoon to one's mouth. The Rundes Modell - literally "round model" - emerged from that tension between formal rigor and artisanal warmth that characterized his entire body of work. Alessi recovered and reinterpreted it within Officina Alessi, the workshop for historical and design research that preserves and revives the great classics of design applied to the table arts. At Stilmobili, we chose this spoon because it represents with rare precision what we believe in: that the table should be a place of aesthetic composition, not mere consumption. It is the ideal piece for anyone building a cutlery set with a distinct identity, for those who love the history of design and want to bring it into contact with everyday life, or for anyone looking for a meaningful gift - one that will be remembered. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, polished finish. Length 21.5 cm. Part of the Officina Alessi collection, available to pair with the other pieces of the Rundes Modell tableware set designed by Josef Hoffmann.
