Alessi — Santiago DC05/6 | Chipperfield fruit knife

There is an almost architectural precision in the way the Santiago fruit knife feels in the hand. The 18/10 stainless steel blade extends from the handle with a formal continuity that allows no distractions: no interruption, no superfluous ornament. Only the material, polished and silent, reflecting the light on the table like the surface of still water. Eighteen centimetres of considered balance, in which the everyday gesture of cutting becomes subtly different from the ordinary. Santiago is David Chipperfield's tableware signature for Alessi, one of the most coherent encounters between the world of contemporary architecture and that of domestic design culture. Chipperfield - among the most rigorous interpreters of European architecture and the winner of the 2023 Pritzker Prize - brings the same essential grammar found throughout his buildings to this collection: pure volumes, no redundancy, and absolute respect for function. The result is a cutlery set that does not age because it does not chase time. At Stilmobili, we chose Santiago for those who consider the table a space for thoughtful composition, not merely for setting. It is the ideal fruit knife for those who enjoy hosting with restraint and intention, and for those seeking objects that say something without raising their voice. It pairs naturally with minimalist tableware, marble or light wood tables, and a home aesthetic in which every element is chosen with the same care reserved for a work of art. Project notes: 18/10 stainless steel, length 18 cm. Part of the Santiago collection, designed by David Chipperfield for Alessi. Available as a single piece or as a complete set.
