Why we chose it for you

Marcel Wanders conceived the Dressed collection around a precise idea: taking archetypal forms rooted in the European decorative tradition and reinterpreting them in a contemporary way. The mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel airtight lid, with its embossed decorations, interacts with the transparent glass of the jar, creating a refined contrast between humble material and silversmith-style finishes. Alessi — founded in 1921 on Lake Orta and always a research workshop in the applied arts — chooses its designers with the same care with which a publisher chooses an author: the result is never simply a container, but an object with a point of view.
