Alessi — Tau KL09 | Polished stainless steel tray

There is something ancient yet contemporary about Kristiina Lassus's Tau for Alessi. Rectangular, polished, and quiet in its formal perfection, this 18/10 stainless steel tray presents the table as a ritual surface: a space on which to arrange, offer, and share. Its integrated handles define its contours with measured precision, transforming an everyday object into a sculptural presence. The mirror finish multiplies the light, reflects its surroundings, and engages with every setting without ever overpowering it. Kristiina Lassus is a Finnish designer with an international background, active for years between Helsinki, Milan, and the world - a designer of rugs, interiors, and objects capable of weaving together Nordic rigor and Mediterranean sensibility. In the Tau project for Alessi, this dual nature is clearly expressed: the geometry is essential, almost austere, but the quality of the material and the surface treatment introduce a tactile and visual softness that makes the piece immediately desirable. The name itself - the Greek letter τ - evokes balance, proportion, and a certain idea of completeness. At Stilmobili, we chose the Tau because it embodies exactly what we seek when we talk about design for the table: objects that do more than simply function, transforming an everyday gesture into an aesthetic experience. It is the ideal tray for those who love to welcome guests with care, for those who compose their home as a coherent collection of choices, and for those who recognize in the quality of materials a form of respect - for their guests and themselves. Project notes: polished 18/10 stainless steel, dimensions 54.8 × 32 × 3.5 cm. A generous surface designed to bring everything that matters to the table.
