Alessi — Tonale DC03/2 WE | White Earth stoneware soup plate

There is something ancient and contemporary at once in the way Tonale rests on the table. The stoneware ceramic soup plate in the White Earth version has the quiet quality of essential things: a surface that catches the light without showing off, and a rim that slopes toward the central cavity with a geometry reminiscent of hand-worked clay, even though it is the result of a rigorous design. The white is never flat - it lives through nuances and slight variations that the nature of stoneware makes each piece unique. Tonale was born from the pencil of David Chipperfield, a world-renowned British architect known for museum projects such as the Neues Museum in Berlin and the Procuratie Vecchie in Venice. His approach to everyday design is the same one that guides his architecture: respect for materials, economy of gesture, and the pursuit of beauty that lasts over time. Designed for Alessi, the Tonale collection was conceived to restore to the table the artisanal dignity that industrial design often sacrifices. Stoneware - a dense, porous, durable material - carries with it the memory of traditional ceramics and a vocation for everyday use. At Stilmobili, we chose Tonale because it embodies exactly what we look for in our tableware: objects that tell a story without raising their voice. It is the ideal service for those who love entertaining with informal elegance, for those who make no distinction between an everyday dinner and a special occasion, because they know that beauty is not something to be reserved. Project notes: diameter 18.5 cm, depth 5 cm. Glazed ceramic stoneware, White Earth finish. Suitable for everyday use and dishwasher safe.
