Alessi — Toru NE01/80BCH | Nendo steel electric kettle

There is something hypnotic about Toru's profile: a silhouette that evokes the geometric perfection of the Japanese cylinder, tempered by the industrial precision of 18/10 stainless steel. The polished body reflects the kitchen light with that almost liquid quality found only in materials crafted with extreme care. The handle, lid and distinctive spout in black thermoplastic resin introduce a restrained, almost graphic colour contrast that transforms every gesture - pouring, waiting, preparing - into a small daily ritual of form and function. Toru was born from the collaboration between Alessi and Nendo, the design studio founded in Tokyo in 2002 by Oki Sato, one of the most refined and influential voices in contemporary international design. Nendo is known for its ability to subtract, to reduce complexity to its essential core, returning objects that always seem to have existed. The result, in this case, is a kettle that belongs to no trend and will not age: pure, balanced and quiet presence. We chose it for Stilmobili because it perfectly embodies the philosophy guiding our selection: design as density of meaning, not ornament. Toru is ideal for those who want every corner of their kitchen - even the most domestic and everyday one - to speak a coherent, thoughtful, authentic language. It is the perfect gift for anyone who loves beauty applied to real life, without compromise. Project notes: capacity 80 cl, power 2000–2400 W, dimensions 15 × 15 × 25 cm.
