Alessi — Toru NE03BW B | Nendo brioche warming rack, black

There is something almost ritualistic about the act of warming bread in the morning. Toru transforms it into a moment of pure aesthetics: the 18/10 stainless steel rack, coated in black thermoplastic resin, rests on the surface with the quiet confidence of an object that knows exactly what it wants to be. The form is essential, almost sculptural - 28 centimeters long and just over five centimeters high - yet capable of containing all the complexity of a rigorous formal study. The matte black engages with the sheen of the steel in a play of visual tensions that makes this brioche warmer something more than a simple kitchen appliance. Toru was born from the pencil - or rather, the precise and poetic line - of Nendo, the design studio founded by Oki Sato in Tokyo in 2002. Nendo is perhaps the most refined contemporary interpreter of that Japanese tradition that knows how to find beauty in everyday objects without ever burdening them with meaning. The collaboration with Alessi has produced pieces capable of inhabiting the kitchen space like small functional works of art, where every curve and proportion responds to a logic that is as aesthetic as it is ergonomic. We chose Toru because it perfectly embodies what Stilmobili wants to bring into its customers' homes: the certainty that beauty and utility should never have to compromise. It is the ideal object for those who furnish a kitchen with the same care they bring to choosing a work of art, and for those who consider breakfast a moment worthy of attention and form.
