Alessi — Trumpet ITM04 ITM04 AG | Turned silver-plated brass vase

There is something hypnotic about the shape of Trumpet: a neck that narrows until it almost disappears, then opens into a broad, confident curve, like the bell of a musical instrument held in the moment before the sound. Made from silver-plated brass spun on a lathe from sheet metal, the vase carries the living memory of the material - the subtle marks of the workmanship, the cool, precious sheen of the metal, the reassuring weight felt from the very first contact with the hands. Trumpet was created as part of the *Il Tornitore Matto* collection, a project by Michael Anastassiades - the London-based Cypriot designer, one of the most refined voices in the international applied design scene. Known for his ability to distill form down to its essence without ever sacrificing poetic tension, Anastassiades brings his reductionist aesthetic here into an object that openly engages with Italian craftsmanship and the tradition of metal turning. The collection takes its name from this dialogue - ironic and knowing - between design rigor and the freedom of the hand. We chose Trumpet because it embodies exactly what we look for when we talk about a home accessory: not a neutral accessory, but an object that inhabits a space with a quiet and unmistakable presence. It is designed for those who want a single flower - a stem, a sprig, a botanical gesture reduced to its essence - and for those who understand that the container is already, in itself, a statement of intent. *Project notes:* Silver-plated brass, sheet metal spinning. Height 24.9 cm, diameter 16.7 cm. Weight 650 g. Il Tornitore Matto collection, Alessi. Design by Michael Anastassiades.
