Alessi — Trumpet ITM05 AG | Turned silver-plated brass vase

There is something hypnotic about the shape of Trumpet: a neck that opens upward like the bell of a musical instrument, a silhouette that needs no flowers to exist. Made of silver-plated brass spun on a lathe, this vase carries the warm memory of transformed metal, the discreet sheen of a surface that changes with the room's light. At 32.5 cm high and with a diameter of 23.5 cm, Trumpet occupies space with a measured stage presence, able to engage with a work table as well as a design shelf. Trumpet was born from the vision of Michael Anastassiades, a Cypriot-British designer and one of the most sophisticated interpreters of contemporary minimalism. Anastassiades has built his creative philosophy around the essential: pure volumes, proportions studied to the millimeter, materials that speak for themselves without embellishment. The piece is part of Alessi's Il Tornitore Matto collection — a project that celebrates turning as an art, restoring artisanal dignity to an industrial process and transforming metal into an object of affection. At Stilmobili, we chose Trumpet because it embodies exactly that tension between function and sculpture that we seek in every piece in our selection. It is the vase for those who do not like decorative vases, for those who want an object that makes sense even when empty, even far from water and flowers. Ideal for a carefully designed home office, an uncluttered living space, and anyone who considers the desk a space for thought before it is a place for work.
