Alessi — YoYo BM08 | Steel and resin pillbox

There is something disarming about the perfection of a circle. Alessi's YoYo knows this well: a flat, pocket-sized disk with a shape that recalls childhood and play, yet built with the precision of mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel and the functional simplicity of expertly integrated thermoplastic resin. Open, it reveals an orderly and reassuring inner geometry; closed, it is simply a beautiful object to hold, slip into a bag, or put in a jacket pocket without a second thought. Michel Boucquillon - a Franco-Belgian designer with a keen sensitivity to pure volumes and hybrid materials - signs this small jewel of everyday design with the same care he would devote to a much more ambitious project. The YoYo was created as part of Alessi's "On The Go" family, a line of objects designed to accompany life outside the home without sacrificing the elegance of an intentionally designed object. The form is the design: there is no ornament, no excess. Only the right tension between two materials, an opening gesture, and the detail that makes the difference. We chose it for Stilmobili because it tells a story that belongs to us: that of objects that do not hide, that live on a bedside table or in a bag without shame, but rather with a certain pride. It is ideal for those looking for a refined and unexpected gift, for those who pay attention to details even in the most everyday gestures, and for those who know that self-care can also have an aesthetic dimension. Design notes: diameter 7.5 cm, height 2.5 cm. 18/10 stainless steel and thermoplastic resin. Weight 151 g. Alessi On The Go collection, fall/winter lineup.
