Details: The ZH01 “Crevasse” vase is obtained by combining the rotation and inversion of the same trapezoidal shape. The apparently simple shape generated offers opposite sensations: sinuous and rectilinear, inclined and stable. Zaha Hadid is, like Jean Nouvel, a designer with whom we began working in the 1980s but whose projects we had not yet managed to realize in series production. A graduate of the Architectural Association in London, she began her professional career in 1979. She has taught in many European and American universities and is now a lecturer at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and Visiting Professor at Yale. Zaha Hadid is also known as a painter and designer: her works have been exhibited in various shows in the USA, Japan, England and Germany.
