Flou Baia - Lightness as a design concept
A bed that does not occupy space, but defines it. Flou's Baia enters the room with discretion and asserts itself through the quiet quality of something that does not need to raise its voice: slender metal feet that lift the bed frame off the floor, exposed stitching that defines its shape, and a headboard with a soft, measured curve. The result is a space that breathes, where the bed becomes the compositional centre without overpowering its surroundings.
The Baia design
Designed by Emanuela Garbin in 2023, Baia stems from a precise idea: to restore the essence of the double bed by freeing it from every unnecessary decorative superstructure. The generous padding and adjustable slatted bed base ensure structural comfort, while the exposed sartorial stitching - a historic hallmark of Flou - speaks of attentive, thoughtful craftsmanship. The barely perceptible curve of the headboard is the discreet signature of a design that finds its strength in the details, not in grandeur.
