Binario is not a sofa with a definitive form: it is a system designed to evolve along with the spaces it inhabits. Interchangeable elements, ever-new configurations, and a visual lightness that lets the surroundings breathe without sacrificing presence.
The Binario design
Designed by Pinuccio Borgonovo in 2019, Binario stems from a reflection on contemporary versatility. Its understated, compact lines allow it to adapt equally well to private living spaces, workspaces, public areas, and environments in constant transformation. The heart of the system is its compositional logic: the two- and three-seat elements - with one or two armrests - and the two large square ottomans are designed to be interchangeable. They can be divided, broken down, and reassembled, generating a different configuration each time. Not a fixed furnishing piece, but a flexible tool for shaping space according to the needs of the moment.
