Flou Céline - The armchair that becomes a bed
Céline redefines the boundary between seating and rest: a generous armchair that, with a simple movement, transforms into a single or double bed, bringing the flexibility of a space truly designed for living into any room.
The Céline design
Designed by Riccardo Giovanetti in 2009 for Flou, Céline is based on the idea that comfort should not have to choose between form and function. The chaise-longue armchair version, with its spacious, enveloping seat, opens out to become a 90 × 200 cm single bed. The small sofa version expands the offering further and, when unfolded, reaches the dimensions of a 160 × 200 cm double bed. Both versions are completely removable and can be upholstered in fabric, with the option of combining two different colors: one for the outside of the backrest and the side sections of the basque, and the other for the inside of the backrest and the upper section. The specially designed Memoform or Special mattresses fold along with the mechanism without losing their support qualities.
