Flora is an armchair that challenges the rigidity of space, offering a seating experience in which the form follows the movement of the body and the composition arises from a desire for compositional freedom. Upholstered with exceptional softness, featuring removable covers and designed for both indoor and covered outdoor use, Flora embodies the flou principle of contemporary furnishings: adaptability without compromise.
The Flora Project
In 2021, Ilenia Viscardi conceived a single armchair that naturally interacts with its double version and with the other elements in the same collection, creating open and unconventional configurations. The upholstered structure accommodates fabric or leather covers that can be easily removed using black zippers, which intentionally emphasize the graphic curvature of the seat and backrest. The detail of the removable cloak—available in the same fabric or in a contrasting color, secured with Velcro and a counterweight—adds functional and aesthetic versatility. Each element is designed for modular compositions, transforming unconventional spaces into dynamic, personalized environments.
