Flou Gaudí - Curved Wood as the Architecture of Rest
There is a moment in the evening when you approach the bed not as a simple piece of furniture, but as a place. Flou's Gaudí is designed to be exactly that: a sculptural presence in the bedroom, capable of redefining the perception of space through the quiet strength of wood and the softness of fabric.
The Gaudí Design
Designed by Matteo Nunziati in 2020, the Gaudí bed was created as a tribute to the nobility of wood - a living, noble, and unique material. The solid wood headboard and supporting feet trace a sinuous geometry, the result of craftsmanship that bends the wood without compromising its character. The available finishes - natural ash, coffee-stained and black-stained ash, or natural iroko and coffee-stained iroko - offer a palette that moves between warmth and contemporary style with equal elegance. Draped over this framework is the fabric or leather upholstery: a gesture that appears casual and natural, yet conceals a complex design study intended to enhance the forms of the wood without ever completely covering them. The result is a dialogue between structure and softness, between technical precision and sensory appeal.
