Flou Gentleman High Headboard - Elegance as a second covering
There is a subtle threshold between the bed and the ritual of rest. Gentleman crosses it with discretion: the high headboard redraws the proportions of the bedroom, while the double removable covering introduces an almost sartorial approach to care - the kind adopted by those who carefully choose every detail of the space they inhabit.
The Gentleman design
Designed by Carlo Colombo in 2014 for Flou, Gentleman was born from a precise intuition: elevating the double bed through layering. The high headboard accommodates a second padded, removable covering that overlaps the main structure, creating a visual texture of depth and richness. Completing the piece's character, a cord piping runs along the corners of the base and around the perimeter of the upper covering: it can be ton-sur-ton, for a compact and rigorous aesthetic, or contrasting, for those who want to express their personality with a touch of color. The structure's covering is removable, reflecting an attention to care and product longevity that goes beyond aesthetics.
