Before comfort became a design concept, Nathalie was already there to tell its story. A bed that does more than simply occupy the bedroom: it inhabits it, softens it, and transforms it into a place where rest becomes a conscious aesthetic choice.

The Nathalie Design

Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1978, Nathalie is the first modern upholstered bed in the history of Italian furniture - a pioneering design that opened up an entire category and that no other bed has yet matched in its consistency between form and function. Instantly recognizable for its characteristic bows, Nathalie embodies a design solution that has remained unchanged over time: the headboard and base are completely removable thanks to practical Velcro fastenings, and are available with either fabric or leather upholstery. The headboard is also available in a reclining version, designed to provide comfortable support while reading or relaxing, when the body is not yet lying down. The integrated pillow covers in the headboard allow pillows to be stored away from dust, reflecting the attention to detail that distinguishes a designer object from a simple piece of furniture.
