Pierre is not simply a small armchair, but an object capable of bringing a distinctive personality to living spaces. Its irregular, enveloping form interacts with the rigor of metal, creating an aesthetic tension that defines every setting. Each element is designed to be customizable, allowing you to create the small armchair that reflects your personal style.
The Pierre design
In 2021, Studio Contromano developed this small armchair around a principle of compositional freedom. The shell features a padded, enveloping seat that can be upholstered in removable fabric or leather, available in three different proportions. The backrest offers two interpretations: in the shell version, a curved metal shell that decisively defines the silhouette; in the linear version, a slim transverse metal rail that gives the upholstery center stage. Anodic bronze, white, matt burnished, black, greige, oxide, silver oxide and desert rock complete the combination options, transforming Pierre into a tool for personal expression. The softness of its lines and its material versatility also make it suitable for outdoor settings, with the appropriate fabric choices.
