Flux Chair — The Armchair Born from a Sheet

Leaning against the wall, it looks like a flat panel. Ten seconds later, it is an armchair. The Flux Chair overturns the very idea of seating: it takes up no space when you don't need it, transforms when you want it to, and still makes a statement wherever you unfold it — an entryway, a terrace, a meeting room.

The Flux Chair Design

Designed by the Dutch studio Flux, this armchair stems from a radical idea: a single sheet of polypropylene just 3 mm thick that folds according to origami principles to become a structured, sturdy seat with a bold profile. No screws, no tools — assembly is a gesture, not a task. The red version brings a color into residential or contract interiors that can define a space's focal point without weighing it down.
