Peleg Design — Care-it | Self-Watering Device

Peleg Design Care-it — Self-watering that imitates nature

Care-it transforms an everyday task that is often forgotten into a silent, autonomous process. Planted in the soil of your pot, this device takes care of your plants while you go about your routine, travel, or simply have other things to think about. Its carrot shape is not just a playful detail: it is a precise visual indicator - when the water level falls below the leaves, it is time to refill it.

The Care-it Project

Care-it was created through a collaboration between Peleg Design and Studio Scratch, a studio known for transforming functional objects into small visual narratives. The device works through capillary action: the porous ceramic tip releases water slowly and consistently, adapting to the plant's needs without waste. The transparent plastic body lets you monitor the water supply at a glance. The result is an accessory that interacts with the nature of the plants themselves, respecting their rhythms instead of imposing those of the people who care for them. An object that works and tells a story even when it is not being used.
