Leaning against the wall, it looks like a graphic installation. Unfolded in ten seconds, it becomes a comfortable, sturdy armchair capable of supporting up to 160 kg. Flux Chair redefines the concept of folding seating: not a compromise, but a design object that frees up space when needed and disappears when it is not, without ever giving up its aesthetic identity.

The Flux Chair Project

The Dutch studio Flux conceived this armchair from a radical insight: a single sheet of polypropylene just 3 mm thick that, following the logic of origami, transforms into a stable, enveloping three-dimensional structure. No screws, no tools — assembly is a gesture, almost a game. The result is a piece that moves effortlessly between indoors and outdoors, from an urban terrace to a contemporary living room, adapting with equal ease to residential and contract settings.
