Alessi — Sarrià | Made in Italy Wastebasket

Alessi Sarrià - The Edge That Tells a Story

There is something familiar yet surprising about the Sarrià basket: its wavy edge recalls the light improvisation of a silver-foil tray, but it is crafted with such precision that every ripple becomes a deliberate gesture. Placed on a set table or left on the kitchen counter, it brings with it a discreet, cultured presence.

Why We Chose It for You

Alessi was founded in 1921 on Lake Orta as an artisan workshop and has established itself over time as one of the most authoritative studios in the field of applied arts. The Sarrià basket expresses this philosophy: an everyday object elevated into a small work of design. The rippled edge - inspired by the whimsical folds of silver foil - is created using the complex technique of cold stamping a steel sheet, carried out in a single operation. The result is a piece with a polished finish that combines function and elegance without compromise.
