The Bag Vase Project

Isabella Isola is known for her ability to bend - literally - ceramic material into forms that belong to everyday life, giving them a new poetic dignity. The Bag Vase is born from this tension: the natural rigidity of ceramics bends, wrinkles, and knots itself, mimicking the softness of a fabric bag captured at the exact moment it is closed. The folds, wrinkles, and swollen volumes are not decoration: they are the design itself. The white and blue floral decoration engages in dialogue with this suspended form, evoking an Italian manufacturing tradition that still knows how to surprise.
